Terms of use

4 September 2026

This post isn't translated yet, so it's shown in English.

These terms cover use of this website, universaltill.com, published by Task Runner Technology Ltd (“we”, “us”) — see our legal notice for full company details. They are not a service agreement: they don’t cover running the Universal Till software itself, or the terms of our free pilot programme.

The software

Universal Till’s source code is free and open source under the MIT Licence. That licence — not this page — governs your right to use, copy, modify and distribute the software, and it’s provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, exactly as the licence text sets out.

This website

Everything else on this website (its text, design and branding) is copyright Task Runner Technology Ltd, except where we say otherwise (for example, plugin listings that link out to their own repositories and licences).

You may browse and use this website for its intended purpose — learning about Universal Till, downloading it, and getting in touch. Please don’t use it in a way that could disrupt, disable, or overburden the site, or try to gain unauthorised access to it or the systems behind it.

The pilot programme

Joining our free pilot programme is arranged directly by email, as described on the pilot page. Anything we agree with you there — about your shop, your setup, or how the pilot runs — takes precedence over this page for that relationship.

No warranty for this website

We try to keep this website accurate and available, but we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we provide it “as is” to the extent the law allows.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
